Silver-plated Copper Wire
Silver plated copper wire, also known as single core silver plated copper wire or silver plated wire, is plated with silver on oxygen free copper wire or low oxygen copper wire, A fine wire drawn by a wire drawing machine. Silver plated copper wire is a composite wire that is uniformly coated with a layer of silver metal on the surface of a pure copper conductor. It combines the high conductivity of copper (second only to silver) with the oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, and high-frequency low impedance characteristics of silver. Its core advantage lies in achieving conductivity close to silver at a lower cost (compared to pure silver wire), while improving durability.
Technical Parameter
1. Silver plated copper wire has a resistivity of ≤ 0.017241 Ω. mm2/m and a temperature coefficient of resistance of 0.003931/℃ at a temperature of+20 ℃;
2. The surface of silver plated copper wire should be smooth and not discolored, without defects such as metal particles, burrs, or any mechanical damage that may damage the quality of the product. The coating is continuously and firmly attached to the surface of the copper wire, and no spots, blackening, or discoloration occur within 30 minutes at a high temperature of+(400 ± 5) ℃. Visually at a distance of 25.4 cm, no scratches, pits, or protrusions on the surface of the product are visible under a 5x microscope. Under a 10x microscope, the surface of the product should have less than 3 scratches, pits, and protrusions per 1000mm length, and the length of each scratch should not exceed 3mm. The pits should not exceed 0.08mm square, the depth of scratches and pits should not exceed 0.005mm, the surface protrusions should not exceed 0.08mm square, and the height should not exceed 0.005mm;
3. Silver plated copper wires with a silver layer thickness of 1 micron or more should undergo 1-3 cycles of sodium polysulfide testing without blackening.

Silver-plated Copper Wire Application
Silver plated copper wire has excellent conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature oxidation resistance. Silver plated copper wire is widely used in fields such as electronics, communication, aerospace, and military industry to reduce contact resistance on metal surfaces and improve welding performance. Silver has high chemical stability, can resist alkali and some organic acid corrosion, and does not react with oxygen in general air. This product is an excellent conductor for signal transmission and can be widely used as a communication cable connection line, AI, high speed transmission fields such as big data computing power.
