Aluminum Wire Drawing Machine
Aluminum wire drawing machine is a mechanical equipment used to stretch aluminum rods through molds and process them into aluminum wires of different diameters. It is widely used in industries such as wire and cable, electronic components, power transmission, and automotive wiring harnesses.
Working Principle
The aluminum wire drawing machine uses a drawing process to gradually thin the aluminum rod through a series of molds under external force (traction), ultimately reaching the target diameter. Usually includes the following steps:
Wire laying: Aluminum rods are fed into the machine from the wire laying rack.
Pulling: Compressing the diameter of aluminum wire through a drawing die.
Cooling lubrication: Use lubricant (such as oil or lotion) to reduce friction and heat.
Wire winding: The stretched aluminum wire is wound on a wire take-up reel.
Main Components
Pay-off Device: Provides aluminum rod feeding.
Drawing Die: Tungsten carbide die or diamond die are usually used.
Capstan/Drawing Block: Provides tension to allow aluminum wire to pass through the mold.
Lubrication System: Reduce friction and prevent aluminum wire breakage.
Take up Reel: Roll up finished aluminum wire.
